Ways I am aiming my product to my TA

My target audience for my final product, (G321), has been attracted by following the conventions of a charity website, or/and charity trailer.
The usual conventions of a charity website that I have followed are;
  • A navigation bar
  • Main image
  • Title
  • links to donations
  • links to events revolving the charity.
This will attract my target audience because they will get a detailed insight on my charity, including information regarding events, donations and organisers of the charity, A navigation bar is good for a website because the audience can easily be guided to different pages, promoting the charity at best

The usual conventions of a charity trailer that I have followed are:
  • Videos that relate to the charity
  • non copy-righted music
  • charity logo present
Showing my charity logo consistently will promote my charity, engaging my target audience and familiarising them with my charity. This will attract my target audience because my charity trailer is detailed, presents my charity thoroughly and engages them on what my charity does for the homeless.

My charity trailer

For my final project (G321), I created a trailer promoting my charity, Help The Homeless. Here is my trailer:

My trailer will appear on the 'donate' page on my charity website.

Evaluation of all media products

For my final product,(G321), I had to create a detailed and thoroughly analysed evaluation, explaining to the examiner how I created my products and the reasons for it. This evaluation was necessary as I was able to understand conventions of a charity trailer or website etc.

Here is my evaluation;

Target audience research

For my final product (G321), I had to collect data in order to explain where I got my target audience from as well as how my research led to my final products.

After creating my questionnaire, I forwarded my results into pie charts to understand the averages of the given answers.
The averages helped me decide who I was going to aim my target audience at because I asked the same range of people from each age group, most people who donate to charities and volunteer are from 40-60. This led me to my own target audience of being 40-60.

This research led me to complete my final products because I had to attract a certain age base and so I knew what conventions to follow for this age as well as what to include on my website and how to promote my trailer.

Evaluation of photoshop

For my final product, (G321), I was able to use the Photoshop software to perfect my images that will appear on my charity website. I needed to use the software as it helped me make my images look much more professional and trust worthy towards my target audience.

This is the presentation I created for my evaluation. It explains how and why I changed certain things in my images, this was a important exercise as I was able to understand how to use the Photo shopping software and make my images look much more professional for my Charity website.
